Earth Day Is Everyday
Today is Earth Day a global day to bring awareness to the importance of protecting our planet. For RMF, Earth Day is every day and the effort to help protect our environment starts in our own backyard–through our beach cleanups and refill station program!
With billions of plastic water bottles polluting our world’s waterways and filling up our landfills, we strive to give people in our community access to clean, free, drinking water at school and in public spaces, all while eliminating the need for single-use plastic bottles.
We recently did some data collection on the 30 filling stations that we’ve installed in 22 schools and through the usage of those refill machines we’ve been able to eliminate over 500,000 plastic water bottles! The refill stations at La Costa Canyon High School alone have saved over 100,000.
It’s the little things that can add up to a huge impact, so let’s make every day Earth Day–together we can help protect our environment and leave it better for future generations to come!
